Born in Blackpool England, David moved to the USA in 1991 to work with his Father Derek Armstrong Head Coach of the Nomads Soccer Club.

He was instrumental in helping build the Nomads Soccer Club into one of the most successful soccer clubs in the USA.

In August 2008 Armstrong joined the California Odyssey Soccer Club as Director of Soccer operations and also runs the clubs USSF Develpopment Academy teams.

David is a USSF ’A’ and"B" Licence Coach and also holds a English FA Coaching Badge.
